Forum course correction.

I really like the member classification scheme of which "pipes up regularly" is an example. It gave me a good laugh, which is far too rare. We all need a little more humor.

CaptainRon has departed? That's a huge loss. He's a man of intelligence and insight.

I will leave the post soon on my travels to the RP. It will probably take me about a month to 6 weeks to get set up in Bayugan to get back to writing again.

I have learned so much from many of you on here, have gleaned so much knowledge , I do not know where to offer the best accolades’ for those of you have helped me the most.

I think the simple way, for this is a forum that we have tried under several administrators’ or moderators have all had our time to either be affected or believe in what we heard from the "collective sage wisdom" of this group.

I still find this the "truth"

I will never lead anyone astray here...belong which is my right to another group that is now being run by Keith.

In no way do I say his group is better than this group...or Jacks group (my brother always and his wife who is my sister and my wife's sister) it becomes clear....where do I and my wife wish to be?

The answer lies for ALL of US, if you wish to remain in a group that will survive ...and you are loyal to that group...then I say stick with it...On the other hand if you believe one group is stronger than the other and will lead you to such things as living, retiring, surviving the Philippines, then just maybe I would suggest you stay with this group.

Is that a disclaimer about Keith's new group, in no! Way....there are many of you who shield yourself by being in both groups, and only report to this group...and swear you have never written posts in Keith’s group.

Colin my friend, you were the first group member to sign up for Keith’s group, but then you write me your concerns that Keith did not approve your writers status, so you were upset? For the life of me I don’t know why with all your collective years of wisdom you still seek some ego stance regarding what you are "called".

I have always had a very high respect for you for you are my elder; if you can show me any post that is different then I will stand corrected.

The point to all of this is I am leaving in 8 days to move for real in the RP, I am giving up everything I have here in the full belief I have both a wife and family that loves me.

For all those who have posted before, "do not sell everything", and just move to the RP....I have not done that, I have lost may of thousands of dollars in this move....but if you cannot sacrifice some of the things you call and claim to be materialistic to you and give them up for the betterment of your life...I say...no way.

I have already sent the amount of money to the RP, enough to sustain my wife, my extended family for many months. I have two sources of income which I hope to transfer to the RP in direct deposit. I am not 100% sure it will work but if not I have made arrangement with someone here in the usa to take my signed checks to my bank in the usa and just send the money to my wife thru forex at the price of only 16.00 per transaction.

In closing I want to thank JACK and his wife GLO for being a support system to me and my Wife that has been beyond and above the call of duty.

This in no way means I do not appreciate or respect all of you who have corrected me in my wrong thinking.

I am a very simple man, needing very little except the support of my wife and the support of this group...for without you....I stand as a man alone against a lone dark scenario, that always repeats itself where I am always the one and only one who suffers.

GOD bless you all! (Forgive me Colin) for being there when I needed you!

I could and should mention 100 members of this forum who I have learned from, but because I am a very controversial figure , which I will not apologize for...I will ask those of you who do not like me to cut me some slack....in my move....let me fulfill my dream of being there in the RP and just maybe I can be a better man, a better husband ....but also a better member of the Filipino  community....where my quest is to do no harm, and remember always I am but only a "guest" in their country....

Well, that shall leave us with a big void for a month to 6 weeks.     I can't wait 'til you start posting again.  I especially want to hear your accounts of daily living in Bayugan and any travels you may have.

Murf, as you have raised my ‘concerns’ in a public forum, I feel that I must reluctantly correct and justify them here. I say reluctantly because I don’t wish to make any enemies and had chosen to sit back help out where I could, but I don’t wish to be seen as having ego problems. I am sorry you raised this, but here is my response.

When Keith departed he told me he was kicked out after a disagreement with Don and then asked me to help set up his new Wetpaint Wiki. I asked for Writer status so that I could add to his contributions. He then told me that he planned to run it as a forum exactly the same way he ran Dons forum. To me that was completely pointless as the whole idea of a Wiki is for all members to contribute. A good example is the highly successful Wikipedia. I was not looking for status, just too properly use something that I believed was better than a standard forum.

After this I received emails from Jack giving a completely different version of what went on when Keith departed. Now I don’t really care whether Keith jumped or was pushed, that fact is not important to me. What does matter is the fact that someone lied to me. I may not be religious in any way but I do have strong principles, and I will not lie for anyone for any reason and I expect the same from others. I don’t know who is correct and I don’t wish to get involved in any further discussions on the subject. This was my reason for getting upset. I hope nobody comes back and says I should get a thicker skin, we are what we are.

Keith is doing a very good job with his forum, and I say all this knowing that he can read it under his alternate name in this forum. The reason I am not contributing to it is because I find one forum enough and I am well established here.
